Grandmothers' Day was created in 1987 by the famous French coffee brand "Grand'Mère". Originally, the concept was designed to boost sales, and create a buzz phenomenon. Years later, Grandmothers' Day continues to be celebrated.
Although it is not part of the official calendar in the same way as Mother’s Day, it does not prevent us from celebrating our grandmothers and showing them all our love.
Grandmothers' Day is not just in France, but we are one of the few countries to celebrate grandmothers and grandfathers independently. In Canada and the United States, for example, grandparents are celebrated.
