Discover the traditional sweets signed Le Petit Duc !

The memory of honey candies tucked away in our dear Grandmother's cupboards, the taste of childhood in Carpentras Berlingots, or the subtlety of filled raspberries... We all have at least one emotionally rich memory connected to these old-fashioned confections. This collection of confections brings together our favorite treats, all crafted using traditional expertise and always made according to the rules of the art by passionate artisans.

Le Petit Duc, as a diligent treasure seeker, has traversed France to uncover the finest candies for the delight of both young and old gourmands. These ancestral recipes, some dating back to the Middle Ages, are cherished from generation to generation. Le Petit Duc takes pride in preserving these time-honored flavors in its delightful range of traditional candies

Focus on a unique know-how, fruit of a tradition dating from the Middle Ages: flowers and crystallized leaves!

Under a thin layer of sugar, we find the freshness of the crystallized mint leaf, the delicacy of a rosebud or the sweetness of the violet… Initially used by apothecaries, these fresh flowers and leaves were then sublimated by confectioners in the early nineteenth century. As soon as they were picked, they were crystallized in sugar syrup, becoming delicious delicacies. Let yourself be tempted by some flowers and leaves crystallized with violet, rose and mint. Exceptional and refined treats that will enhance a cup of tea or a glass of Champagne…

Historical sweets in beautiful glass jars

Once packaged in plastic cylinders, these sweets are now dressed in beautiful glass jars! Bringing more refinement to the range, these new containers have been chosen for various reasons: an infinite recyclability in most countries of the world, the reuse of the container by the consumer as well as its origin by selecting a French supplier for a responsible supply! We will agree that these sweets are as greedy for the eyes as the taste buds, right?

What is an infinite recyclability? (Source: verre-avenir.fr)

Glass can be reworked indefinitely to make new containers, without any loss of quality, transparency or material. This is called a “circular economy model.

The recycling of glass makes it possible to:

- to save energy. A 10% increase in recycled glass to replace virgin raw materials allows an energy saving of 3%,

- limit CO2 emissions. One tonne of recycled glass saves more than 500 kg of CO2,

- to reduce the extraction of natural resources. For each kg of cullet used to replace the raw material, a saving of 1.2 kg in virgin materials is achieved,

- optimise logistics and thus minimise the carbon footprint of transport. Recycled glass comes from local collections, close to glass production plants,

- make the most of the glass collected by avoiding its landfill.

The reuse of the container by the consumer: What to do with a glass jar when the sweets have all been tasted?

On this side it’s very simple! Here are our ideas to avoid recycling your glass jar:

- Put sweets back in!

- Use as a small piggy bank creating a slot on the lid

- Turn it into a pencil jar

- Use it as a container for sauces, dressings…

- Use it to store small objects that are easy to lose: buttons, paper clips, children’s play pieces…
