La Biscuiterie de Provence, family expertise since 1833
La Biscuiterie de Provence, family expertise since 1833
In 1833, the story of the Biscuiterie de Provence took root when Joseph Bédoin began trading local goods such as almonds, linden, and apricot kernels. The factory's history truly began in 1870, when his son took the reins and recognized the rise of the almond in the region. He then began to develop gourmet and authentic recipes, using almonds as the main ingredient.
The almond has always been at the heart of our preparations, carefully crafted to create cakes, biscuits, and many other delicacies. Throughout the generations, our expertise and commitment to the authenticity of our specialty and cake production have been preserved, thus ensuring products from our region that are as tasty as ever.
As it expanded, the Biscuiterie de Provence broadened its business by incorporating two renowned former houses: Le Petit Duc and the famous Croquette de Vinsobres.
The almond is at the heart of the Biscuiterie de Provence and its houses!

Provencal confectionery not to be missed
Our Provencal confections are made with passion and follow ancestral methods that highlight the riches of our terroir. Come and discover in our shop:
Le Petit Duc Nougats
Le Petit Duc Nougats are made according to an ancestral Provencal method to create authentic sweets. The result? A soft nougat that is neither too hard nor too soft, does not stick to the teeth, and is always less sweet than the usual standard.
At Le Petit Duc, we have also created three other versions of our nougat, in addition to the original: Cévennes nougat, pistachio, and pine nut.
St Rémy Calissons
What you need to remember about our calissons: low in sugar, extremely soft, a delicious almond taste, and incomparable delicacy.
The result of a long process of reflection, our calissons are the fruit of meticulous work. The Saint-Rémy calissons are distinguished by their square shape, a legacy of a past when resources were limited at the start of their production. We have chosen to preserve this characteristic as a symbol of authenticity and artisanal craftsmanship.
We have created our calisson in several flavors: orange, Damascus rose, and many other flavors, each more gourmet than the last.
Traditional sweets
Our candies represent a selection of the best specialties of yesteryear, reinterpreted to please contemporary palates. They are made with the utmost respect for tradition, following expertise passed down from generation to generation. It's up to you to discover: Carpentras berlingots, Toulouse violets, Provencal pralines... and much more.
